Today, after more than two years of work and thanks to a collaboration between the University of Milano‑Bicocca, the Be for Education Foundation, and the IARD Institute, we have a new and updated picture of Italian schools from the inside, through the opinions, feelings, and teaching practices of its teaching staff.

The Fourth Survey on Italian teachers is the largest and most in‑depth study ever conducted on Italian teachers in terms of scale and representativeness: in 2025, nearly 10,000 teachers from more than 400 school complexes across the country responded to a questionnaire developed with contributions from a wide network of scholars from various universities.
The result is one of the richest and most significant information platforms currently available on Italian schools. The volume is also available in open access.
